Job Summary: Run production and correct issues on Automated machinery

Essential Functions:

• Set up/change over machinery according to Work Instructions
• Monitor machines as they run, replenishing components and packaging to meet the line’s PPH target
• Correct issues on machinery according to Work Instructions
• Escalate machine malfunctions to Engineering as necessary
• Escalate quality issues to Quality as necessary
• Visually inspect parts for flaws per the Part Quality Standard
• Package parts per the Nifco Packaging Information Form
• Verify Finished Good labels and assembled parts per the PQS/NPIF
• Complete production paperwork and tracking logs
• Understand 3S principles and keep work area clean and organized
• Understand the purpose and importance of following FIFO, scrap, and Stop call wait procedures
• All other duties assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Skills/Experience/Requirements:

• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate verbal/written instructions in English
• Must be able to do simple math calculations
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Behave in a manner that will enhance the successful of the department and company
• Work overtime as needed (including extended shifts and weekends)
• Must be able to learn and run production on all automated machinery in the unit

Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:

• Must be able to move about freely and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally overhead
