Position: Full-Time Unit Clerk
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Description

Axia Care Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and organized Unit Clerk to join our nursing department. The ideal candidate must have prior knowledge of unit clerk responsibilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Answer resident call bells promptly and communicate resident needs to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff with contacting physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Schedule and coordinate resident medical appointments.
• Assist with distributing meal trays to residents.
• Answer telephone calls and relay messages accurately.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain and organize resident medical records and documentation.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the nursing department.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, nursing staff, and healthcare providers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior Unit Clerk experience or knowledge of unit clerk duties required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
