About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Unit Manager to join our team at AXA Philippines in San Fernando City, La Union. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving business growth and operational excellence within our banking and financial services division. As Unit Manager, you will lead a team of professionals, manage key business objectives, and ensure the delivery of outstanding service to our customers. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with strong people management capabilities, making it integral to our regional expansion and market penetration efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of sales and customer service professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to drive individual and team success
• Develop and implement unit-level business strategies aligned with company objectives to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
• Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to support business development and retention
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across all unit operations
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster professional development
• Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement and product offerings
• Prepare and present regular reports on unit performance, achievements, and challenges to senior management
• Implement effective communication strategies to keep team members informed and engaged with company initiatives
• Recruit, train, and develop talented individuals to strengthen team capabilities and succession planning

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in banking, financial services, or related industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving sales or business targets
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Solid understanding of financial products, insurance principles, and banking regulations
• Experience in customer relationship management and business development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Strong communication skills in English and local languages (Filipino preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Knowledge of the La Union market or Luzon region would be advantageous
