Unit Manager – Hospital Catering

PT Sunshine Food International is looking for a dedicated and operationally driven Unit Manager – Hospital Catering to oversee the daily operations of our hospital catering services.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of safe, high-quality food services while maintaining compliance with food safety standards, client requirements, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead on-site teams, manage operational performance, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional service in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hospital catering unit to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service delivery.
• Lead, supervise, and develop kitchen, production, and service teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure food production and meal distribution comply with company standards, client requirements, and food safety regulations.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, hygiene, sanitation, and overall service standards.
• Manage manpower scheduling, attendance, productivity, and workforce planning to support operational needs.
• Coordinate with hospital representatives, dietitians, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate meal services.
• Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and operational expenses while minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, sanitation, hygiene standards, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Investigate operational issues, customer feedback, and service complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
• Prepare operational reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new operational initiatives, process improvements, and company projects to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in catering operations, food service, hospitality, healthcare, or a similar industry.
• Previous experience managing hospital catering operations will be highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Good understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational reporting.
• Willing to work on-site and support operational requirements, including weekends or public holidays when necessary.
