Unity Lead Engineer

About the game

We're hiring a Lead Engineer to build an online multiplayer 3D RTS game in Unity, inspired by classics like Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour and similar games.

This is a founding engineer role. You'll own the entire technical side of one game, from the first prototype to the Steam launch. You'll start as the only engineer, and we may add a junior engineer for you to lead.

What you'll do

• Architect and build the game in Unity (C#)
• Build online multiplayer: deterministic lockstep, lobbies, matchmaking
• Create gameplay systems: base building, economy, combat, fog of war
• Handle pathfinding for hundreds of units, skirmish AI, and performance
• Integrate art, UI, and audio, and ship to Steam

What you bring

• 5+ years of Unity/C# and at least one shipped game
• Real experience with online multiplayer and determinism
• Strong pathfinding and optimization skills
• You work independently, estimate honestly, and use AI coding tools well
• Bonus: C++, RTS experience, Photon Quantum, DOTS/ECS, Steamworks

What you get

• Monthly salary + 5% of the game's revenue
• Full technical ownership as a founding engineer
• Fully remote
