Unreal Engine Developer – Procedural Generation

About the roles

We’re building a new Unreal Engine team to work alongside our existing teams on a product for one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers.

As an Unreal Engine Developer, you’ll help bring digital experiences to life by developing solutions that use procedural generation to create content through rules, algorithms, and configurable parameters. Instead of manually building every element, you’ll contribute to systems that make content creation more flexible, scalable, and efficient.

Working with Unreal Engine and C++, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to turn ideas into practical technical solutions and contribute to the development of a large-scale product.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain features and systems in Unreal Engine using C++.
• Implement procedural generation solutions that create content based on rules, algorithms, and configurable parameters.
• Explore and apply suitable approaches to procedural content generation within Unreal Engine.
• Translate technical requirements into maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve issues related to Unreal Engine development and procedural generation.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to code quality and the continuous improvement of development workflows.

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine development.
• Practical experience implementing Procedural Generation solutions in Unreal Engine.
• Good C++ programming experience.
• A good understanding of programming fundamentals and software design principles.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine’s Procedural Content Generation Framework (PCG).
• Familiarity with multithreading and asynchronous programming.
• Experience developing custom Unreal Engine tools or workflows.
