Uplift/Collection & Delivery Driver

About Us

We are an established, family-run rug and carpet business with over three generations of experience, specialising in the cleaning, restoration and sale of rugs and carpets.

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and professional driver to assist with the collection and delivery of customers’ rugs across London and surrounding areas with the opportunity for a long-term working relationship with a family business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver rugs and carpets from residential and commercial customers.
• Carefully handle, load, secure and transport valuable and delicate rugs.
• Provide a professional, polite and punctual service to customers.
• Follow a pre-planned daily collection and delivery schedule.
• Maintain accurate collection and delivery records, including customer signatures and photographic confirmation where required.
• Communicate with the office regarding completed deliveries, delays or customer queries.

Requirements

• Full, valid UK driving licence and a good driving record.
• Previous experience in collections, deliveries, removals or furniture transportation preferred.
• Own suitable vehicle (estate car or van) preferred.
• Physically capable of safely handling rolled rugs and carpets, with assistance where necessary.
• Excellent timekeeping, reliability and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and courteous manner when visiting customers’ homes.
• Ability to use WhatsApp, Google Maps and basic digital collection/delivery records.
• Appropriate vehicle insurance covering business use and hire-and-reward work where applicable.
• References required for application

Pay: £105.00-£130.00 per day
