Upper School Physics Teacher

Springdale Preparatory School seeks a qualified Physics Teacher to join our talented team. This position will teach a on-level and honors Physics, AP Physics 1 & 2, and AP Physics-C.

Springdale offers a rigorous curriculum based on real-world application to equip students socially, academically, and emotionally. Springdale teachers offer differentiated and globally minded instruction to students in small class sizes. Full-time teachers are responsible for teaching four or five classes per academic year, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. Science teachers should have the ability to infuse technology to create inquiry and project-based lessons to enhance students learning through various instructional strategies and approaches. Springdale teachers encourage and support students though a positive learning environment.

Qualified applicants should hold the following in education and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, or related field (required)
• Master’s Degree in Physics, or related field (preferred)
• Prior experience teaching students in grades 9 to 12
• Commitment to using professional role to further the creation of an equitable and inclusive school community
• Empathetic and able to cultivate positive relationships with young people
• Use of reflection and feedback aimed at continued growth
• Prior experience teaching AP level courses (preferred)
• Proficiency with or ability to learn ManageBac or other online learning platforms
• Teaching certification is not required

This is a full-time, 10-months, exempt position beginning immediatley. Campus housing is available.
