UPS STORE ASSOCIATE

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions and cash handling.
• Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
• Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits to customers.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves.
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
• Assist in training new staff members as needed, utilizing supervising experience when applicable.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
• Proficient in retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies.
• Experience with cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
• Ability to operate POS systems efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including bilingual capabilities if applicable.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and stock levels.

Pay: $18.47 per hour
