Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
• Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest satisfaction
• Serve food and beverages with precision, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Upsell menu items such as premium spirits, wine bottles, or specialty cocktails to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas according to health regulations
• Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments swiftly using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods
• Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure an exceptional dining experience
• Support team members with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly, and providing guest relations assistance during peak hours

Skills

• Extensive experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with a focus on guest service excellence
• Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
• Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage service standards
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability in upselling premium menu items to enhance revenue opportunities
• Solid understanding of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience with restaurant software like OpenTable for reservations management is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to build guest rapport quickly
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Knowledge of the food industry trends related to fine dining hospitality and beverage trends including spirits experience
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure
