Upstream - Trainee/Intern
Location : Dombivli, Thane
Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Prepare media and inoculum; perform sterilization (autoclaving, SIP/CIP) and aseptic transfers
Operate bench-scale glass fermenters and monitor critical parameters (pH, DO, temperature, agitation) in real time
Collect in-process samples and prepare for analytical testing
Support fermentation troubleshooting, DoE-driven runs, and process optimization studies
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of glass fermenter systems and instrumentation
Maintain accurate records, fermentation summaries, and inventory management
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications
Education: M.Tech or M.Sc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
Experience: Fresher.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, Effective communication and teamwork skill.
