Urban Designer

Job Overview

We are looking for an Urban Designer to support the development and coordination of architectural and urban design projects. This role will work closely with architects, interior designers, consultants, and project stakeholders to develop functional, sustainable, and visually engaging design solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to site studies, spatial planning, concept development, and design documentation while ensuring that project proposals align with client requirements and design objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop urban design concepts, spatial layouts, and design proposals for various projects.
• Conduct site analysis, research, and assessments to support planning and design decisions.
• Prepare design drawings, 2D layouts, 3D models, diagrams, and presentation materials.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, landscape consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design of public spaces, streetscapes, mixed-use developments, and built environments.
• Review project briefs and translate design requirements into practical spatial solutions.
• Support architectural and interior design teams in integrating functional and aesthetic considerations.
• Monitor design progress and coordinate project deliverables according to agreed timelines.
• Incorporate client feedback and design revisions throughout the project development process.
• Assist with project documentation, design reports, and presentation submissions.
• Stay informed about relevant design principles, planning guidelines, and sustainable design practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in urban design, architectural design, or spatial planning is preferred.
• Good understanding of urban environments, architectural principles, and spatial development.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar applications.
• Strong visualisation, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Able to manage multiple design tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $4,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
