URETHANE INSTALLER

Grand Industrial is seeking a hands-on Urethane Installer to support commercial and industrial flooring projects. We are looking for someone with construction, flooring, or coatings experience who can prepare surfaces, install flooring systems, and complete assigned tasks with attention to quality and safety.

This position includes urethane concrete flooring, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and carpet installation. Urethane or epoxy experience is preferred but not mandatory. You will work with the flooring crew and perform assigned installation tasks independently within your training and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare concrete through diamond grinding, shot blasting when required, and thorough cleaning.

· Perform crack and joint repairs and complete edge and detail preparation according to project requirements.

· Mix urethane materials according to manufacturer instructions and monitor working time and pot life.

· Apply flooring materials using gauge rakes, spike rollers, and other appropriate tools.

· Perform aggregate broadcasting and install base coats, body coats, and topcoats as specified.

· Install LVT, including subfloor preparation, layout, measuring, cutting, placement, and finishing.

· Install carpet tile and broadloom carpet as assigned, including layout, cutting, fitting, and seam or edge work appropriate to the system.

· Install transitions and complete flooring details according to project specifications and manufacturer instructions.

· Check surface preparation and finished work; report installation concerns and material or equipment problems promptly.

· Maintain tools, clean equipment and work areas, and protect customer property.

· Follow company safety procedures, wear required PPE, report unsafe conditions, and assist entry-level employees as skills allow.

Qualifications:

· One or more years of construction, flooring, or coatings experience preferred.

· Urethane or epoxy experience preferred but not mandatory; LVT and carpet installation experience preferred.

· Understanding of basic concrete preparation and ability to operate grinders and preparation equipment safely.

· Ability to mix coating materials correctly and understand working time and pot life.

· Ability to spread, rake, and roll materials and perform detailed installation work.

· Ability to complete assigned tasks independently while maintaining production pace and consistent workmanship.

· Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and a commitment to safety and proper equipment care.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
