Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate – US Accounting to manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations for US-based clients. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing, along with hands-on experience using accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and maintain accurate books of accounts for US-based clients.
• Handle month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting workpapers.
• Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and accounting reports.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and other account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounting activities.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
• Communicate with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies and operational queries.
• Apply appropriate accounting principles and maintain compliance with established accounting procedures.
• Use advanced Excel skills to analyse financial data and prepare reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with US-based clients.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or Sage Intacct.
• Experience in end-to-end bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and closing activities.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Work Arrangement

• Kolkata: Work from office 2 days per week.
• Pune: Remote work arrangement for the initial few months.

Candidates must be comfortable working the US-aligned evening shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.
