US Accountant (Night Shift/WFH)

Job Title: Accountant/Bookkeeper (US Client)

Work Setup: Remote Work-from-Home | Philippines | Full-Time l Night Shift
Tech Expertise: Full Cycle Accounting and/or Bookkeeping, Administrative Tasks, Quickbooks (Desktop or Online)

About the Role

We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join the client’s growing accounting team. You will directly support the Controller and be responsible for handling property-level financials. Your day-to-day work will play a vital part in delivering accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple properties.
• Process journal entries and perform month-end closings.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Controller and internal teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accounting data integrity and support documentation for audits.
• Ask clarifying questions when entries or ledger activity appears unusual.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Proven ability to review journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and following U.S. work hours.

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry (hotel, resort, or property management accounting).
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems commonly used in U.S. companies.
  • Prior experience working in remote/offshore teams.

Work Setup

• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Shift Schedule: Night Shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PH)
• Work Location: Remote (Philippines-based candidates only)
• Work Arrangement: Full-time, long-term engagement
