US Bookkeeper (Permanent WFH)

We are a growing bookkeeping company that provides remote bookkeeping services to rental property management companies across the United States. As our client base continues to expand, we are looking to bring on long-term independent contractors to join our team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable accounting/bookkeeping professional who wants a long-term working relationship. This role is ideal for someone highly competent with accounting principles, comfortable using technology, and who enjoys solving both technical and analytical bookkeeping challenges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration (Management Accounting), Accounting Technology, or a related field (CPA not required)
• Minimum of two (2) years of general accounting experience
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  Availability to work U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM mountain time)
• Reliable Windows 10 computer and high-speed internet connection
• Demonstrated proficiency with accounting systems and Windows-based software installations
• Quiet and professional remote work environment during scheduled hours

COMPENSATION & RENUMERATION

• Starting pay is $5.00 USD per hour, paid biweekly.
• Work hours are dependent on client demand and operational needs. While hours are not guaranteed, workload may gradually increase to a level comparable to full-time engagement (approximately 40 hours per week).

ONBOARDING PERIOD (FIRST 3 MONTHS)

During the initial three (3) months, contractors will undergo an onboarding and capacity-building period designed to support integration into client workflows.

During this period:

• Contractors will receive a minimum guaranteed payment of $400 USD every two weeks, equivalent to 40 hours per week at the starting rate of $5.00/hour.
• This minimum payment applies even if fewer than 40 approved hours are assigned during a given week.
• The onboarding guarantee is temporary and intended to support ramp-up as workload increases progressively.

After the 3-month onboarding period:

• Compensation will transition to payment based solely on actual approved hours worked at the agreed hourly rate.
• The onboarding guarantee will no longer apply.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATE INCREASE

• Contractor performance will be reviewed after the first three (3) months.
• Upon satisfactory performance, the hourly rate will increase from $5.00/hour to $5.25/hour.

WITHHELD COMPENSATION POLICY

• The first month is considered a structured onboarding and training period focused on exercises and skill development. As part of this process, 50% of compensation earned during the first month will be scheduled for release after six (6) months of continuous engagement with the company.
• The deferred portion will be released upon completion of six (6) months of continuous engagement with the company.

As an independent contractor:

• Health insurance is not provided
• Paid time off (PTO) is not provided
• Paid holidays are not provided

Contractors are responsible for managing their own time off, insurance coverage, and tax obligations.
