US Freight Forwarder Operations

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented US Freight Forwarder Operations professional to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind managing international and domestic freight forwarding activities, ensuring seamless transportation solutions for our clients. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and freight logistics will be essential to optimize shipping operations, maintain compliance with trade regulations, and foster strong client relationships. Responsibilities

*Tracking and Tracing all freight claimed to the operator’s respective job operator initials 2-3 weeks from ETA date.

*Ensuring accruals (cost and revenue) are protected within 48 hours of ETD date.

*Processing Freight 3-5 days prior to arrival date (ocean) and 24-48 hours prior to arrival date (air). This includes sending arrival notices, dispatch, etc. per respective terms.

*Following all client’s SOPs in regards to processing and EDI efforts.

*Completing billing within 3-5 days of POD date or ATA depending on the terms.

*Updating operator notes within CW on a daily basis to provide visibility of current working status within the shipment.

*Sending timely freight payment requests to appropriate AP team for approval.

*Ensuring freight releases are obtained timely.

*Pulling reports on a daily basis to mitigate missing performance KPIs.

*Escalating matters timely to appropriate contacts.

*Utilizing the USBPO team to assist with any delay notifications/ data integrity input within CW.

Experience

• Proven experience in logistics company operations with a focus on freight forwarding logistics for international trade.
• Strong background in supply chain management, transportation management systems (Cargowise).
• Familiarity with air freight procedures, trade compliance standards, and international trade regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with experience using CRM software for customer engagement.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with customer service expertise to build lasting client relationships.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
