What You'll Do

• Perform multi-point inspections on incoming used vehicles, including Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) inspections, and document your findings in the recon report
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and safety issues to Toyota and dealership standards
• Knock out maintenance quickly and correctly: oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, filters, fluid flushes, and more
• Figure out which parts are needed and work with the Parts Department to keep downtime low
• Handle light cosmetic fixes like bumper clips, bulbs, and trim pieces
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation
• Keep service advisors and the Recon Manager updated on vehicle status, extra repairs, and timelines
• Follow safety procedures and keep your work area clean and organized
• Hit production goals and recon timelines in a fast-paced shop
• Take part in ongoing Toyota technical training

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, ideally at a dealership or high-volume shop
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and diagnostics
• Experience with Toyota vehicles and Techstream is a big plus
• Ability to handle brakes, suspension, alignments, fluid services, and engine performance checks
• ASE or Toyota certifications preferred, or a willingness to get them
• Ability to read repair orders, TSBs, and electronic diagnostics
• Ability to juggle several vehicles at different stages of recon on your own
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Your own tools
• Dependable, with a can-do attitude!
