Used Car Technician

Haley of Farmville - Auto Mall is looking for a Used Car Technician. As a Used Car Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards. You'll work with a wide range of vehicles, preparing them for sale and making them road-ready for our customers. The ideal candidate would have several years of diagnosing and repairing used vehicles at either new car dealerships or independent shops.

Used Car Technician Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles to identify any mechanical or cosmetic issues.

• Perform necessary repairs, and maintenance to ensure each vehicle is in excellent condition.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient reconditioning processes and meet inventory goals.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Used Car Technician Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician, preferably with experience in reconditioning or used vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Virginia state inspector license is preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
• Certification with Toyota, GM, Ford, CDJR
• State Inspection License
• Experience with computer diagnostic systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Hiring requirements: 18 years or older with a clean driving record, valid driver's license, able to pass criminal background, and drug screen.
