Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Used Car Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations. Your expertise will help deliver reliable, safe, and high-performing used cars that keep our customers satisfied and confident in their vehicle choices. Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify root causes efficiently.
• Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, and suspension components such as shocks & struts and wheel alignments.
• Service vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to execute repairs accurately and safely.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with dealership standards and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients.

Requirements

• Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or mechanic working on used vehicles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair including brakes, transmissions, diesel engines, electrical systems, and suspension systems.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics equipment and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
• Experience working with ADAS technology and vehicle electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements efficiently.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certifications are preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
