User Acceptance Testing Analyst

Motion Recruitment has partnered with a Utility client and seeking a User Acceptance Testing analyst for a 6+ months contract opportunity. In this role you will partner closely with the SI UAT Lead to:

• Establish the overall UAT strategy, approach, and governance model.
• Develop integrated UAT schedules and execution plans.
• Coordinate readiness activities across business and delivery teams.
• Lead UAT forums, status reviews, defect triage, and executive reporting.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Prepare leadership recommendations regarding UAT readiness and go-live decisions.

Operating Company Leadership:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Operating Company business stakeholders.
• Coordinate UAT planning activities for each Operating Company.
• Ensure business processes and operating company requirements are represented in UAT scope.

Partner with CIS and Business leadership to identify and onboard:

• Business Testers/Subject Matter Experts
• Approval and sign-off authorities
• Monitor tester participation, availability, and execution progress.
• Escalate business resource constraints and readiness risks.

Working with the SI UAT Lead:

• Define UAT scope, entry criteria, exit criteria, and success measures.
• Establish UAT governance, communications, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate business readiness activities across all Operating Companies.

Support development of:

• Test plans
• Test schedules
• Test execution strategy
• Defect management procedures
• Sign-off processes

Lead UAT readiness reviews and checkpoint assessments.

Test Execution Oversight

• Oversee business execution of UAT activities.
• Monitor completion of test scenarios and business validation objectives.
• Facilitate daily execution reviews and issue resolution discussions.
• Ensure end-to-end business processes are validated.
• Coordinate retesting and business verification of resolved defects.
• Drive timely resolution of business testing blockers.

Defect & Issue Management

Partner with the SI UAT Lead to:

• Review defect trends and execution metrics.
• Prioritize business-impacting defects.
• Ensure appropriate business involvement in defect triage.
• Validate business acceptance of defect resolutions.
• Escalate unresolved critical defects impacting readiness.

Reporting & Communications

Own and deliver business-focused reporting, including:

• Operating Company execution status
• Tester participation metrics
• Defect impacts on business processes
• Readiness indicators
• Risks and escalations
• Sign-off progress

Business Validation & Sign-Off

• Coordinate business validation activities across all Operating Companies.
• Ensure business acceptance criteria are met.
• Manage collection of test evidence and sign-off documentation.
• Facilitate Operating Company approval processes.
• Maintain readiness assessments and acceptance recommendations.

Go-Live Readiness

• Participate in go-live readiness reviews and deployment governance
• Validate satisfaction of UAT exit criteria.
• Assess business readiness risks and mitigation plans.
• Present UAT readiness recommendations to program leadership.
• Support cutover, deployment, and hypercare planning activities.

Other preferred skills:

• SAFe experience a plus
• Azure DevOps experience preferred
• AI business usage experience a plus (not technical)
• Some travel may be required to support UAT at Operating Companies (2 weeks per OpCo, 3 OpCos)
