User Experience Researcher - Synthesis Methodologies, EdTech

Our client in the EdTech space is looking for a fully remote (EST work hours preferred) UX Researcher to join their team for about 40 hours a week for the next 6+ months! 

The UX Researcher will be responsible for:

• Champion user-centered research practices across the organization and help product teams adopt research-driven decision making 

• Develop research strategies, hypotheses, and methodologies that align with business goals and provide actionable insights 

• Conduct, synthesize, and present research findings to stakeholders through workshops, presentations, and recommendations 

• Partner with product, design, strategy, analytics, and market research teams to translate user needs into effective solutions 

• Support research operations and knowledge sharing by managing participant recruitment processes, maintaining research repositories, and ensuring projects are delivered in fast-paced environments

 

The UX Researcher must have: - Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Computer Interaction, Data Science, Behavior Science, Market Research, or related discipline

• 2+ years of experience defining and executing research activities as a member of a product or application development team 

• Experience with synthesis methodologies including affinity diagrams, experience maps, and opportunity solution trees 

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders 

• Understanding of common product development practices 

• Experience with research methodologies including user interviews, direct observation, ethnography, contextual inquiry etc.

 

UX Research nice to have skills:

• Experience working with kids k-8 grades 

• Knowledge of continuous discover and double diamond framework 

• Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Lucid charts
