UT Equipment Operator

Overview

The Utility Equipment Operator handles machinery such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers to install utility lines. This role requires attention to detail, precise maneuvers, and a commitment to jobsite safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for trenching, pipe placement, and backfill
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor repairs
• Maintain accurate trench grades using GPS or laser systems
• Collaborate with laborers and foremen for efficient progress

Qualifications

• Experience operating equipment for utility installations
• Familiarity with reading utility plans and specifications
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
