What they need

Not every defect is visible. That's where your expertise makes the difference. Put your UT Level 2 certification to work protecting product quality throughout production.

We're looking for a UT Inspector II who knows how to spot material defects, work with ultrasonic testing equipment, and make sure products meet quality standards before moving through production. If you have hands-on inspection experience and take pride in getting the details right, we'd like to have you on our team.

Job Summary

We're hiring a UT Inspector II to perform ultrasonic testing and quality inspections on metal products throughout our manufacturing process in Fontana, CA. You'll use specialized inspection equipment to identify surface defects, detect cracks, verify material specifications, and ensure our products meet strict quality and customer requirements.

This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your technical inspection skills in a production environment where accuracy and consistency are essential. You'll work closely with our quality and manufacturing teams, maintain inspection equipment, and help ensure that every product meets the standards our customers expect.

What You'll Do

  • Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections to identify cracks, surface defects, and material inconsistencies, following established work instructions and inspection procedures.
  • Verify product identification and specifications, including heat numbers, alloy types, dimensions, and log numbers, to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Use ultrasonic testing equipment and profilometers to evaluate material integrity, surface quality, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Support quality inspections during casting operations, including ultrasonic and Alscan testing when needed.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain testing equipment, replace components as necessary, and report equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Document inspection findings, follow quality procedures, and collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain product reliability and manufacturing standards.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • UT Level II Certification and familiarity with AMS-STD-2154 ultrasonic testing standards.
  • At least 6–12 months of experience in a quality inspection or technical role, or equivalent engineering studies.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, aerospace, or other technical inspection environments is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret inspection procedures, specifications, and safety instructions.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to document and communicate inspection results.
  • Dependable attendance, flexibility, and willingness to work a graveyard shift in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform physical inspection duties, including prolonged standing, working around industrial equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

We offer competitive pay, based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, onsite position, with no travel required.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your inspection expertise in a hands-on manufacturing environment, work with specialized testing equipment, and contribute directly to the quality and reliability of the products we produce.

If you're detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to put your ultrasonic testing skills to work in a team that values precision and quality, apply today and help us maintain the standards that matter.
