Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Senior Project Manager looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of projects, people and commercial performance?

Escape Recruitment are supporting an established engineering organisation with the appointment of a Utilities Project Manager.

This is a senior position responsible for leading a project delivery function and overseeing capital projects from initial survey and estimating through to installation, commissioning and completion.

What you'll be responsible for:

🔹 Leading and developing a team of Project Managers and project delivery professionals

🔹 Managing capital projects from inception through to completion

🔹 Managing budgets, forecasting, profitability and commercial performance

🔹 NEC3 contract management

🔹 Resource planning and project scheduling

🔹 Customer and stakeholder management

🔹 Project risk, issue and recovery management

🔹 Health, safety, quality and environmental compliance

🔹 Continuous improvement across project delivery

🔹 Supporting the wider commercial and business development activity

What we're looking for:

You'll ideally have:

✔️ Engineering or technical project delivery experience

✔️ Experience managing capital/industrial projects

✔️ Previous leadership responsibility

✔️ Strong commercial and financial awareness

✔️ NEC3 contract experience

✔️ Experience managing budgets and/or P&L

✔️ Strong customer and stakeholder management skills

✔️ Excellent planning and organisational ability

An engineering qualification is advantageous, although significant relevant experience will also be considered.

This is an opportunity to step into a role with real ownership and influence , combining engineering, project delivery, commercial management and leadership.

📍 Bristol preferred, with Nottingham and Dumfries also considered.
