Utility Associate

Position Summary

This position is responsible for keeping the manufacturing facility clean, safe, and organized. The primary focus is janitorial and general housekeeping duties throughout the shop, common areas, and exterior areas, with occasional assistance on basic facility and utility tasks as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping throughout production areas, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Empty trash and remove debris; keep floors, work areas, storage areas, and exterior areas clean and orderly.
• Maintain janitorial supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with sidewalk snow removal, groundskeeping, and other seasonal property clean-up.
• Report facility, equipment, or safety concerns to management.
• Operate a forklift when needed to move or organize materials, equipment, or supplies.
• Assist with light utility or facility-related tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manage the facility’s weekly recycling program, including collection and proper disposal of recyclable materials.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or similar experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Dependable, organized, safety-minded, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift/move materials up to 50 pounds as required.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, machinery, varying temperatures, and occasional outdoor conditions.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
