Utility Foreman

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Foreman to oversee underground water and sewer utility construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and manage teams effectively. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction safety regulations, project scheduling, and quality control within a commercial construction environment. The Foreman will serve as the primary point of contact on-site, coordinating daily operations and managing subcontractors and crew members to meet project objectives.

Duties

• Supervise and manage crew, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
• Interpret and review blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to guide project execution.
• Oversee daily site activities, including equipment operation, material handling, and quality control measures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations throughout all phases of work.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Enforce safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform construction site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to specifications.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on commercial projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a fast-paced construction environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety requirements.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for accurate project execution.
• Familiarity with construction safety management practices and quality control procedures.
• Prior work experience supervising crews on-site with a focus on safety compliance and productivity improvement is highly desirable.
