Utility Maintenance Worker

About the role

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, orderliness, and proper condition of the dormitory facilities, equipment, and common areas. Performs routine maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, and other general utility tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of dormitory rooms, hallways, common areas, and facilities
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance of doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, furniture, and other facilities
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
• Assist with moving, arranging, and setting up furniture and equipment
• Report major damages, equipment problems, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor
• Assist in waste collection and proper disposal
• Monitor and maintain basic tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
• Respond to maintenance requests and attend to urgent facility concerns when required
• Assist contractors or technicians during major repair and maintenance work
• Follow workplace safety procedures and dormitory rules
