What they need

Aqua Management Texas is a small water and wastewater operations company looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person who wants to build a career in the utility industry.

You do not need to have every qualification or already hold a TCEQ license. We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, solves problems, and wants to learn and take on more responsibility. Answer the questions on the bottom of this listing to have your application be considered.

What You'll Do

This is a hands-on field position that may include:

  • Water and wastewater system operations
  • Water distribution and sewer repairs
  • Lift station and pump maintenance
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Utility construction and equipment installation
  • Inspections and basic operational recordkeeping
  • Emergency and occasional after-hours response

You will work outdoors and should be comfortable with physical, hands-on work and getting dirty.

Experience We're Looking For

Experience in one or more of these areas is helpful:

  • Water or wastewater utilities
  • Public works or underground utilities
  • Construction
  • Pumps or lift stations
  • Plumbing or mechanical repair
  • Equipment operation
  • Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
  • Industrial or field service

A Texas water or wastewater operator license is a plus, but is not required for the right candidate.

Training & Advancement

Qualified employees may receive company support for TCEQ training and operator licensing.

New employees begin with an approximately 90-day field training and evaluation period. As your skills, licensing, responsibility, and ability to work independently increase, opportunities for higher compensation and advancement increase as well.

What Matters to Us

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Dependable and honest
  • Mechanically inclined and a good problem solver
  • Able to work safely and independently
  • Willing to learn and accept direction
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Willing to respond when problems arise
  • Interested in building a long-term career in the utility industry

How to Apply

Please submit your résumé or work history and briefly answer:

  • What hands-on utility, construction, mechanical, or field experience do you have?
  • Tell us about something that broke or went wrong on a job and how you helped solve the problem.
  • Where would you like to be professionally three years from now?

Selected applicants will begin with a short phone conversation followed by an in-person interview and/or paid field evaluation.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
