Utility Reliability Manager

About the role

Responsible for improving the reliability and performance of utility systems and equipment to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role focuses on reducing equipment downtime, enhancing maintenance effectiveness, driving energy-saving initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement across utility and maintenance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Utility systems, including boilers, HP/LP air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment, wastewater, electrical systems and HVAC.
• Ensure system reliability, preventive maintenance, breakdown reduction, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Control energy, water and maintenance costs; drive energy-saving and continuous-improvement projects.
• Lead the Utility team, contractors and suppliers; manage escalation, RCA/BDA, CAPEX, budget and performance reporting.
• Maintain utility reliability and production continuity with downtime below target.
• Improve PM effectiveness, critical-spare readiness and equipment lifecycle management.
• Reduce electricity, steam and water intensity in line with company targets.
• Strengthen team ownership, technical capability, communication and timely escalation.
• Deliver Utility improvement projects, CAPEX and cost-saving initiatives on schedule and within budget.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Utility, Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of RCM, RCA, FMEA, TPM, and Predictive Maintenance methodologies.
• Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, Factorium, or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.
