Utility Superintendent

Key Responsibility

1. Manage operation of utility systems including steam/boiler, cooling water, compressed air, nitrogen, water treatment, and wastewater treatment.
2. Supervise Utility Operators and coordinate daily utility activities.
3. Monitor utility consumption, operating parameters, and equipment performance.
4. Ensure stable and reliable utility supply to refinery and fractionation units.
5. Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams for equipment reliability and troubleshooting.
6. Develop and implement preventive maintenance and utility optimization programs.
7. Monitor fuel, water, steam, electricity, and other utility consumption to improve efficiency.
8. Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, environmental regulations, and company standards.
9. Investigate utility-related operational problems and implement corrective actions.
10. Prepare operational reports, utility performance reports, and improvement plans.
11. Support commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities.
12. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce utility costs and energy consumption.

Requirement

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, or related process industries.
3. Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/leadership position.
4. Preferably experienced in manufacturing company in Palm Oil Industry (Refinery, Fractionation).
5. Acknowledge about HACCP, GMP, Halal, & ISO is an advantage.
6. Has knowledge in utility and facility operational (electrical distribution, HVAC, Boiler, Compressor, WTP and WWTP).
7. Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to multitask and work as a team.
8. Multilingual: Good competence in English written and speaking
