Utility Superintendent

Overview

Jymco Construction Company is seeking an experienced Utility Superintendent to oversee and manage underground utility construction projects, with a primary focus on the installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe.

The Utility Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, managing equipment and materials, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position plays a key role in communicating with project managers, foremen, inspectors, subcontractors, and customers to keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish

Job Description

• Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
• Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to Foreman and sub- contractors
• Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment
• Manage each project and is completed on contract deadlines and crews maintain weekly goals
• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and effectively
• Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other Project officials
• Ability to manage multiple Projects
• Plan for and execute weekly field meetings to update Project manager on current Project Operations and Equipment moves.
• Minimum 5 years supervising installation of pipe and culvert on heavy civil projects
• Current OSHA 10 or greater is a plus
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
