UX Designer

Hello Talented Techie!

To tackle the biggest challenges of our time, we need inquisitive minds with ambition to make the impossible possible. Siemens is your place to thrive, challenge the status quo, make a difference, and grow into a team of innovators who share your passion for tech. Are you in?

We are looking for: UX Designer

Note: This is a direct contract position for 12 Months

At Siemens, we’re building digital experiences for complex engineering environments. We’re looking for a UX designer who can bring structure to complexity, move quickly from conversation to design, and work closely with product and engineering teams to turn ideas into quality experiences.

About the team

We’re a team of designers who believe good work comes from curiosity, collaboration and a healthy amount of fun. Join us in shaping digital experiences for the electrical and automation world, where you can exchange ideas, challenge each other, experiment, learn and grow together.

You’d describe yourself as:

• Turn user problems into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Quickly explore ideas through prototypes and iterations.
• Use AI-assisted workflows and LLMs to accelerate exploration and prototyping.
• Work closely with developers from design through delivery.
• Contribute to our design system and components.
• Present your ideas clearly and explain the thinking behind your decisions.
• Quickly understand a complex domain, ask questions and take ownership of your design work.

You’ll create impact by:

• 2–4 years of UX/Product Design experience.
• Strong UX, interaction and visual design fundamentals.
• Strong Figma skills and experience with developer handoff.
• Comfortable using AI tools and LLMs as part of your everyday design workflow.
• Curious, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
• Able to quickly translate conversations and requirements into tangible design explorations.
• Collaborative throughout the design process.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field with certifications in UX, HCI etc.

Good to have

• Experience with B2B / enterprise products.
• Exposure to user research or usability testing.
• Experience working with international stakeholders.

The kind of designer we’re looking for?

Someone who doesn’t wait for a perfect brief. Someone who asks “why?”. Someone who can turn a conversation into a Figma flow - and increasingly, a working prototype - quickly. And most importantly, someone who uses AI to move faster, not think less.

Make your mark in our exciting world at Siemens.

This role is based in Chennai, where you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities and countries - and the shape of things to come.

We value your unique identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society. Come bring your authentic self and create a better tomorrow with us.
