UX Engineer / Front-End Developer

About the role

KMC Solutions is seeking a talented UX Engineer / Front-End Developer to join our growing team in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in creating intuitive, visually compelling user experiences for our clients and internal products. As a UX Engineer / Front-End Developer, you will bridge the gap between design and functionality, translating user requirements and design specifications into responsive, high-performance web applications. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our digital solutions, making this role strategically important to our company's success and reputation in the technology sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, user-centric front-end interfaces using modern web technologies and frameworks
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design specifications, wireframes and prototypes into functional web applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards and best practices
• Optimise front-end performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user interactions across all devices and browsers
• Conduct user experience testing and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless functionality on desktop, tablet and mobile devices
• Collaborate with back-end developers and stakeholders to integrate front-end components with server-side functionality
• Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, implementing timely fixes and updates
• Stay updated with emerging web technologies, frameworks and industry best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or UX Engineer with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous work
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular
• Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development principles
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
• Experience with development tools such as Webpack, Babel or similar build tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate design specifications into user-friendly interfaces
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and user-centred design methodology
• Preferred: Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch
• Preferred: Knowledge of testing frameworks and experience with unit and integration testing
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
