UX/UI Designer

About the role

The project involves the development and enhancement of digital platforms supporting communication, access management, content sharing, and operational processes for Frontex. The solutions include functionalities for access and content management, identification missions, and grants management.

The main objective is to improve user experience, ensure consistency across interfaces, and enhance the usability of applications supporting the Agency’s day-to-day operational activities.

Our expectations

• At least 8 years of professional experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience in a similar role.
• Experience designing graphical user interfaces (GUI) for at least 3 RIA systems, desktop applications, or mobile applications.
• Strong expertise in graphical design for software applications and user interface ergonomics.
• Proven experience in gathering and analysing UX requirements, as well as designing application usability and user experience.
• Practical experience creating graphical mock-ups and interactive prototypes of software user interfaces.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5 technologies in the context of developing GUI components.
• Understanding of software development technologies and their limitations.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, InVision, UXPin, Framer, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Creativity and flexibility when working with different technologies and platforms.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of SharePoint and platform-specific tools.
• Experience designing mock-ups and graphical interfaces for complex business applications.

Main responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business, user, and technical requirements, translating them into graphical user interface (GUI) designs.
• Design and develop user interfaces for business applications.
• Create graphical mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and user interface components.
• Develop GUI standards, guidelines, and related policies.
• Analyse and design application usability and user experience (UX).
• Test software to ensure compliance with established GUI standards.
• Balance interface usability with technical constraints and implementation capabilities.
• Support the implementation of graphical mock-ups, prototypes, and GUI components.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective and consistent user interfaces.
