Do you enjoy working with advanced materials, complex production processes, and cutting-edge technologies? Then this opportunity as a Vacuum Assembly Technician could be the perfect next step in your career.

You will contribute to one of Europe's most innovative space projects, playing a key role in the manufacturing of advanced satellite systems that will support future global communication networks.

Company

Our client is a global engineering and technology organization that collaborates with leading aerospace companies worldwide, including Airbus. Within the Aurora satellite program, highly skilled engineers are responsible for the design and development of next-generation telecommunications satellites, while specialized technician teams ensure these systems are manufactured and assembled to the highest quality standards.

To support the production of hundreds of satellites, we are looking for experienced technicians who thrive in a high-tech environment and have a strong affinity with precision manufacturing processes.

Position

As a Vacuum Assembly Technician , you will work on one of the most advanced and technically challenging production areas within the satellite manufacturing process. Your primary responsibility will be the application and integration of specialized thermal protection materials used on satellite structures.

Using advanced vacuum techniques, you will install and bond lightweight thermal insulation materials onto critical satellite components. These processes require exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards. You will work with specialized equipment, technical documentation, and aerospace-grade materials to ensure every component meets strict performance and reliability requirements.

This role is ideally suited for candidates with experience in aerospace, semiconductor, cleanroom, or other high-tech manufacturing environments where vacuum technology, precision assembly, or advanced production processes are commonly used.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Applying thermal protection materials to satellite structures
  • Operating and supporting vacuum-based manufacturing processes
  • Performing precision assembly and bonding activities
  • Working with aerospace-grade materials and components
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards
  • Working closely with engineers and fellow technicians to achieve project milestones
  • Supporting the production of next-generation telecommunications satellites

What do you bring?

For this position, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • MBO, vocational, associate, or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Experience as a technician, assembler, mechanic, manufacturing technician, or similar role
  • Experience within aerospace, semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or a comparable environment
  • Affinity with vacuum technology, precision assembly, or advanced manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work accurately according to detailed procedures and specifications
  • Hands-on mentality and proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Full-time availability (40 hours per week)
