Position: VAG Vehicle Technician

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum OTE (Salary + Bonus)

Hours: 40 /week 08:30-17:00 MON-FRI *NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Richmond Portsmouth (Škoda), PO6 1RU

We are currently looking for an experienced VAG Vehicle Technician to join our busy aftersales team at our Škoda dealership in Portsmouth, where you’ll be working alongside a very strong existing team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff in a modern and fully equipped workshop.

As our VAG Vehicle Technician, you'll be:

• Carrying out routine servicing, scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended repairs.
• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing engines, braking systems, steering, suspension, transmissions and other vehicle systems.
• Repairing, replacing and rebuilding mechanical and electrical components, including major assemblies such as engines and gearboxes.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding techniques (VAG experience is essential).
• Carrying out system testing, interpreting fault codes and completing Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).
• Preparing vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards, including MOT preparation, pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and used vehicle inspections.

Ideally, you are:

• A proven Vehicle Technician with at least 2 years exposure working within a similar Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, or MOT Tester role.
• HVT/HVE qualified (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right individual.
• Level 3 Qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experienced in VAG diagnostics and fault-finding.
