Valet Attendant

Summary: This position is responsible for parking and retrieving guests vehicles while ensuring the services are in alignment with respect to guest/client expectations and the established performance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Responsible for parking and retrieving guest’s vehicles in a timely manner.
• Able to drive vans, trucks and automobiles, both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Responsible for using claim ticket to ensure appropriate documentation of vehicle damage upon arrival/ departure.
• Record the location of the parking space and other property specific needs on claim ticket.
• Deliver consistently a high level of customer service to each guest while ensuring positive guest experience during arrival and departure process.
• Maintain an excellent level of client relations by responding and handling client requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of lobby entrance, valet parking area and parking garage structure.
• Maintain an open line of communication through all shifts by proper use of inter shift log.
• Abide by all Emergency Procedures set forth by company.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license while maintaining an excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report.

Education:

Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 year driving experience required, with a minimum of 6 months experience as a Valet attendant, preferred.

Skills: Must be proactive self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast paced environment with accuracy. Attention to detail needed, with the ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Have the ability to change a flat tire. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate and supply great customer service. Have the ability to demonstrate continual improvement toward job development through increased skills and job knowledge.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to work for 8 plus hours at a time while, standing for prolonged periods. Position requires the ability to run, walk, sit and climb stairs. Exposure to outside working conditions and exhaust fumes. Manual dexterity required with the ability to bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
