Role Description The Valuation Engineer role is a full-time hybrid position based in Chennai, with a combination of on-site inspections and some work-from-home flexibility. The Valuation Engineer will conduct property site visits, collect technical and legal information, and prepare detailed valuation reports as per bank and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include assessing structural and construction quality, analyzing market data, verifying documents, and ensuring accurate estimation of property values. The role involves coordinating with banks, financial institutions, and clients, maintaining clear and timely communication, and adhering to internal quality standards and valuation methodologies. The Valuation Engineer will also support continuous improvement of valuation processes, documentation practices, and compliance with applicable professional codes and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering knowledge and practical understanding of building construction, structural elements, and property types.
• Competence in property valuation methodologies, market analysis, and interpretation of relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Strong report writing skills, including clear documentation, data organization, and preparation of valuation reports for banks and institutions.
• Comfort with basic digital tools and software (MS Office, spreadsheets, valuation templates) for calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions, coordination with bank officials, and teamwork.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work with deadlines in a field-based and hybrid work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field; prior experience in property valuation or real estate is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel locally for site visits in and around Chennai and nearby regions, as required.
