This position is responsible for transporting students using established routes while following approved procedures established by the Elementary Services Program Director.

We are looking for a dependable person with a clean driving record. This person will be responsible for managing the behavior of students in a safe and calm manner while in operation of the vehicle and demonstrate alertness and good judgment concerning emergencies.

We require this person to have a valid Virginia driver's license and to be insurable by the Weinstein JCC Vehicle Insurance (No major violations, repeated minor violations.) A background check will be required prior to hire.

Position Summary:

• This position is responsible of transporting students using established routes while following approved procedures established by the Youth Afterschool Program Director.
• Assists students with physical disabilities board and exit the bus. Also includes assisting with seating and securing children in safety belts prior to operation of the bus.
• Responsible for conducting and recording daily per-trip checks on bus/van and bus/van componets; to include inspection of tires, lights fuel level, oil levels and windshield wipers.
• Reponsible of reporting defective equipment immediatley.
• Completes daily and monthly operations reports indicating times, mileage, and routes.
• Completes vehicle incident reports as necessary.
• Cleans interior and exterior of bus by sweeping floors, dusting and washing seats, and cleaning windows.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 4.0 per week
