Van Driver

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, professional Van Driver with towing experience to join our expanding team.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of equipment from customer sites across the Home Counties, Oxfordshire, London and the South of England.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where no two days are the same. You will be representing the company on site, so a professional attitude and good communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive company vans and tow trailers to customer sites.
• Deliver and collect powered access equipment, plant and other equipment.
• Safely load, unload and secure equipment and loads.
• Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Ensure vehicles, trailers and loads are roadworthy and compliant.
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Demonstrate basic machine controls and safe operation to customers where required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site personnel.
• Report any vehicle, trailer or equipment defects immediately.
• Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle.
• Follow all company health & safety procedures and road traffic regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Experienced in driving vans commercially
• Experienced and confident towing trailers
• Comfortable reversing and manoeuvring with a trailer
• Customer-focused with a professional attitude
• Able to work independently and manage their own workload
• Physically fit and comfortable loading/unloading equipment
• Familiar with London, the Home Counties and surrounding areas
• Safety-conscious with good attention to detail

Licence Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• A clean licences

Experience in the following would be an advantage:

• Plant or powered access hire
• Equipment delivery and collection
• Trailer towing
• Operating scissor lifts, boom lifts or other access equipment

Full training will be provided on our equipment and company procedures.
