Van Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial van to deliver packages, supplies, or goods to designated destinations
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
• Load and unload items with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for all shipments
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and knowledge of local traffic laws
• Warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with heavy lifting and handling goods
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently in various environments
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and performing heavy lifting tasks when required
• Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction

Pay: £650.00-£700.00 per week
