Van Driver/Drivers Mate

At Tolchards, we supply pubs, restaurants, hotels, cafés, clubs and other hospitality businesses with everything from wine and spirits to kegs, soft drinks and more.

We’re looking for a Van Driver to join our team at our Torquay depot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out on the road, meeting customers and getting the job done. You’ll be representing Tolchards every day, so a great attitude, reliability and a strong focus on customer service are just as important as your driving ability.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to customers across the local area.
• Delivering a range of drinks, including cases, kegs, wine, spirits and soft drinks.
• Loading and unloading your vehicle safely.
• Providing a friendly and professional service to our customers.
• Following all company driving, health and safety procedures.
• Ensuring goods are delivered accurately and safely.
• Reporting any vehicle, delivery or customer issues promptly.
• Representing Tolchards professionally while out on the road.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a full UK driving licence.
• Has a good attitude and a reliable approach to work.
• Is physically fit enough for a role involving regular lifting, carrying, loading and unloading.
• Is comfortable completing multi-drop deliveries.
• Takes health and safety seriously.
• Has good customer service skills and communicates well.
• Can work independently and manage their time effectively.
• Is happy working as part of a busy depot and delivery team.

Previous delivery driving experience is desirable, but attitude and reliability are just as important.

The hours

You'll work 42 hours per week:

Tuesday–Saturday - 8:00am start

Pay: £27,846.00 per year
