VB6 Developer

We are looking for an experienced VB6 Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Visual Basic 6 (VB6), Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (or above), and Seagate Crystal Reports 9.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing legacy applications, developing new features, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications developed in Visual Basic 6 (VB6).
• Develop and optimize applications using VB6 and SQL Server.
• Write and optimize complex SQL Queries, Joins, Views, Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Develop and maintain reports using Seagate Crystal Reports 9.
• Work with ADO and ADODC for database connectivity.
• Troubleshoot application bugs and database performance issues.
• Collaborate with QA, analysts, and developers to deliver reliable solutions.
• Contribute to system improvements and performance optimization.
• Optional: Assist in migration of legacy applications to VB.NET / C#.

Required Technical Skills

• Visual Basic 6 (VB6) – Mandatory
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above – Mandatory
• Seagate Crystal Reports 9 – Mandatory
• ADO / ADODC
• Strong knowledge of SQL Queries, Joins, Views, Triggers & Stored Procedures
• Database performance optimization and troubleshooting

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in VB6 Development.
• Strong practical experience with SQL Server 2008 or above.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Crystal Reports 9.
• Experience with legacy application maintenance and troubleshooting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
