Job Title: VDC Intern

Anticipated Hourly Range: $21 to $25 per hour

As a VDC Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience using cutting-edge technology to support the design, coordination, and fabrication of modular building systems. Working closely with project managers, designers, and production teams, you'll develop and update Revit models and shop drawings, assist with clash detection and design coordination using Navisworks and Autodesk Model Coordination, and help resolve issues before manufacturing begins. You'll also spend time in the manufacturing facility to see how digital models are transformed into finished building components, applying those real-world insights to improve project deliverables and support Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) initiatives.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $21 to $25 per hour. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program. Preferred majors/concentrations in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields
• Passion and desire to work in the construction industry
• Strong communication skills, including a willingness and comfortability to create and maintain relationships by means of cold and warm phone calls.
• Goal oriented, with a focus on personal development
• Evidence of high academic achievement with current or prior elected leadership experience preferred. Passion and desire to work in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ability to work optimally with minimum supervision.

Nice to Have

• Prior work experience, internship preferred but not required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have engaged with Boldt through career fairs, networking events, classroom presentations, or other campus recruiting activities.
