Vector Control Technician

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Vector Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out pest and vector control activities at residential, commercial and industrial premises, with a strong focus on mosquito and other vector prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and identify potential mosquito breeding and vector harbourage areas.
• Carry out mosquito control, surveillance and treatment activities.
• Apply approved pesticides and larvicides safely and in accordance with NEA requirements.
• Perform fogging, misting, larviciding and other vector-control treatments where required.
• Inspect premises and provide recommendations to prevent mosquito breeding and pest infestation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, chemical usage and service reports.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, NEA regulations and company SOPs.
• Communicate professionally with clients and explain treatment procedures and preventive measures.
• Attend to scheduled jobs and urgent vector-control requests when required.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles and personal protective equipment in good working condition.

About you

• Valid NEA Vector Control Technician licence/certification is mandatory.
• Minimum N level/O level equivalent
• Relevant experience in vector control
• Familiarity with NEA requirements and safe pesticide handling.
• Able to perform manual tasks and comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.

1. At least 1 year relevant work experience

2. Proficiency in spoken and written English

3. Stationed - EAST

4. WORKING HOURS :

   • Option of work hours / days

     Mon - Fri (0830hrs to 1730hrs) - Sat (half day)

     OR

     Mon - Fri (0830hrs to 1730hrs) - Alt Sat (full day)

   • OT: weekly night service (4hrs)

   • Valid NEA Technician license

   • Non - driving
