Job Title: Vegetation Management/Tractor Operative

Location: South East England – West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent and Surrey. National Highways area 4. Depot based in Crowborough TN6.

Salary: Pay band range £12.71 to £18.00 per hour; dependent on qualifications and experience, and will be discussed at interview.

Time and a half for night work.

Currently we are seeking Vegetation Management and Tractor Driving Operatives for the SE region.

Predominantly working on the strategic highway’s soft estate, Servtron’s vegetation management work includes cyclical grass cutting, herbicide treatment, vegetation clearance, and planting. We are looking for capable operatives and supervisors who are keen to develop and advance their careers, potentially developing into arboriculture work.

Ideally we are looking for applications that show genuine practical experience of highways or utilities work, but we will offer considerable training and certification opportunities for the right applicants. Servtron invests in its staff and recognises that improving their skills is central to our business goals.

Our staff work in teams under supervision to deliver our contractual requirements. We pride ourselves on our safety records, our reputation with clients and our standard of work, all of which is reliant on our operational staff being well trained and supported to achieve and maintain our industry status.

Please note that much of our work is completed at night, so night work and occasional overnight stays away must be acceptable to any candidate.

It is also essential that candidates

• Be physically able to do the work required and have the ability to pass or already hold a Safety Critical Medical.
• Have a good understanding of Health & Safety regulations

Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, good timekeeping; be reliable and work well in a team.

• Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
• Candidates must be able to pass a drugs and alcohol test pre-start, and be aware that random drug and alcohol testing will be conducted throughout employment

Ideally candidates should

• Be experienced in highways and soft estate work.

• ROLO
• Lantra Brush Cutter / Strimmer
• NPTC Chippers
• NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A
• NPTC Pesticides PA2
• NPTC Pesticides PA6pp - ecoplugs
• Towing experience
• Lantra Tractor Driving
• Lantra Arm Mounted Cutting Equipment / Flail

• IPAF – MEWPS
• NPORS Operator 360 upto 10t
• NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b, CS38 & CS39
• NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS47NPTC
• HGV Class 1
