Vehicle Cloud Platform System Engineer

About the Role

Responsible for the development, localization, integration, and technical support of connected vehicle cloud platforms for overseas markets, working closely with China HQ and local technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement connected vehicle cloud platform functions based on technical solutions and architecture provided by China HQ.
• Support localization and continuous development of cloud-based vehicle services, including big data, OTA, and remote vehicle control.
• Design and implement vehicle data collection, storage, processing, transmission, and cloud integration solutions.
• Ensure vehicle data security and privacy compliance, including relevant data protection requirements such as GDPR.
• Lead end-to-end integration between vehicle-side and cloud-side systems and ensure stable communication and system performance.
• Conduct platform functional testing, performance testing, system validation, and acceptance activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during development and operations, working closely with HQ R&D teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Coordinate technical activities with local cloud service providers, mobile network operators, and other technology partners.
• Manage technical issues and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and reliable platform delivery.
• Provide regular project and technical updates to Group Headquarters in China.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in connected vehicle systems, vehicle cloud platforms, intelligent connected vehicles, IoT platforms, or related system engineering.
• Good understanding of vehicle cloud platform architecture, implementation, and vehicle-to-cloud communication.
• Knowledge of IoT architecture, communication protocols, and publish/subscribe mechanisms is preferred.
• Familiarity with in-vehicle network technologies such as CAN Bus and Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience in system integration and understanding of vehicle electrical/electronic architecture development processes.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving, system analysis, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Good command of English with the ability to use English as a working language.
• Valid driver's license is required.
