Vehicle Conversion & Van Racking Technician

Key Campers & Key Racking is a growing vehicle conversion and commercial van racking company based in Beverley. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated person to join our expanding team.

We take pride in producing high-quality work, and we’re looking for someone who shares that same attention to detail. You should be able to work neatly, accurately and efficiently, use your own initiative, and be confident using a range of hand and power tools.

Previous experience in a similar role or environment would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Full on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.

The role involves working to deadlines, so a positive attitude, good timekeeping and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Carpet lining and insulation
• Floor fitting and installation
• General carpentry, including panel scribing, cabinetry and fitting
• Installation of pop-top roofs
• Window fitting and installation
• Diesel heater installation
• Swivel seat fitting
• Unpacking, checking, assembling and installing commercial van racking
• Construction and installation of ply racking
• Installation of ply wall lining and flooring
• Installation of roof racks, safety steps and associated accessories
• Installation of vehicle beacons, lighting and other electrical accessories — previous electrical/vehicle wiring experience would be an advantage

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a practical, hands-on approach
• Be confident using hand and power tools
• Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work
• Be able to work independently and use their own initiative
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Be comfortable working to deadlines
• Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Have previous carpentry, joinery, vehicle conversion, van racking or similar experience (desirable but not essential)
• Previous experience installing vehicle electrics, beacons, lighting or accessories would be an advantage

Working Hours

Monday–Thursday: 7:15am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:15am – 1:30pm
