Vehicle Conversion Technician

Overview

HQ Custom Design is a leading builder of luxury Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, mobile offices, command centers, specialty commercial vehicles, and custom van conversions.

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our growing team. Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Install vehicle accessories, electronics, lighting, and interior components
• Route wiring and assist with 12V electrical installations
• Remove and reinstall vehicle interior panels and trim
• Assist with installation of flooring, cabinetry, seating, audio/video equipment, battery systems, Starlink systems, and other vehicle accessories
• Follow installation drawings and work instructions
• Perform basic troubleshooting and quality control checks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Automotive accessories installation
• Car audio, remote start, or alarm systems
• RV or marine systems
• Electrical or low-voltage wiring
• Construction, fabrication, or cabinetry
• Sprinter, Transit, or commercial vehicle experience
